Association "Aria" Ugljan was officially founded in 2010, and the headquarters of the association is located in the center of Ugljan.
The creative association was created with the idea to gather women, young people, children and all interested people from the area of Ugljan who want to express themselves creatively through workshops and educational content. The desire of the Aria Association is to cooperate with other associations that promote children's creativity through various educational workshops, early learning of language, dance and rhythmics and the preservation of tradition in the place.
The association was founded in 2004 with the intention of involving women in the life of the community and through their activities influence the improvement of life on the island.
The work of the association focused on the restoration of folk costumes, which had completely disappeared. This goal was achieved thanks to the Ethnographic Museum in Zadar, which recognized its values. Recognition of value enabled the formation of an active folklore group that is presented today not only at the local level but also beyond.
Every year, the association organizes various courses, seminars and cultural evenings, and participates in various folklore events in Croatia and abroad.
The association was formed spontaneously as an extension of the creative activities created during the production of mosaic benches. Then it became clear that there are many creatives on the island of Ugljan who would like to exhibit their work.
Therefore, in 2018, the Mozaik Association was founded, an association that promotes culture and art. The members of the association are: painters, potters, photographers and many other creatives.
The association encourages creative work and enables everyone to exhibit their work created in various artistic techniques in public in their own exhibition and sales space in Sušica.
