The sea of the archipelago of Zadar is ideal for bathing, fishing and sailing and all types of excursions. With its warmth, purity and suitable salinity (35-37 ‰ ) the Adriatic sea in the archipelago of Zadar enables even more than that. The Adriatic sea is most important for its climate influence. The influence is multiple but it is most obvious in balancing temperature. During summer the sea is gets less warm than the land, partially because sun rays go deeper in to the sea. That is why the air above sea surface is colder than above land. This is where the refreshing influence of the sea comes from. From the end of august to middle April the sea is less warmer than the air, and in this period it acts as a source of warmth, softening the coldness of winter.
