months of July is 24°C, maximum daily is 36°C, and the coldest January
is 7°C. Number of days with temperatures below 0°C is very low,
and high temperatures are around 16 days per year. Average temperature
of the coldest month is not lower than -3°C. There are no constant
periods of low of high temperature, and also there are no long periods
of dry or rain . Insulation is around 2500 hours per year, and in
July sun shines between 10 and 12 hours per day..
The sea of the archipelago of Zadar is ideal for bathing, fishing
and sailing and all types of excursions. With its warmth, purity
and suitable salinity (35-37 ‰ ) the Adriatic sea in the archipelago
of Zadar enables even more than that. The Adriatic sea is most important
for its climate influence. The influence is multiple but it is most
obvious in balancing temperature. During summer the sea is gets
less warm than the land, partially because sun rays go deeper in
to the sea. That is why the air above sea surface is colder than
above land. This is where the refreshing influence of the sea comes
from. From the end of august to middle April the sea is less warmer
than the air, and in this period it acts as a source of warmth,
softening the coldness of winter.
